Day 7
Today started the usual way. Dr. Shipp came by, nurses came by and we started the day. William and Adam arrived at the hospital around 11:00. We all laid around and watched TV. I left around 3:00 and went to Wal-Mart to get a few things for our stay (food, etc.). While I was gone, the child life specialist came by and talked about the actual stem cell transplant. When I got back, I put up my purchases and then started laundry.
I later talked with Larry’s dad. Larry was put in PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care) to help with his breathing. (Lord, please help Larry and his family. I pray that Larry will pull through soon. I pray for healing. Give them all peace. I pray in Jesus name.)
We had a quiet evening. A couple from a local church came by to visit. They were very encouraging.
Jared decided that he wanted his dad to stay the night so I got things together to go over to the Hope Lodge. William and Adam left and picked up dinner for us at Burger King. (Jared ate ten bites of rigatoni and one bite of toast today.)
Adam and I left for the Hope Lodge around 10:30. We talked for a while and then fell asleep.
